Iron Man : Release Date: 2 May 2008 : Update Sept 10th 2007 - IronMan Trailer now online!

It started out to be one of the most exciting emails I’ve had all month. Some fella from Paramount asked me to help promote Iron Man, by placing an article on the site. Sure, why not? I’ve been wanting to cover the film for some time, I’m glad to help. All I ask for is prizes to give to our readers in return, he agreed. He asked me to google “Iron Man”, I could use any of the returned images for the article. Errr, ok.. hope this one is decent enough?

I’ll just do my own research on this one. The movie is an introduction to the Iron Man character. For those of you that don’t know, Iron Man is really Tony Stark, an engineering genius captured by the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam War.

He secretly made himself a super-powered suit of armor broke free from the camp he was detained in…. and blowing up everthing he could on the way out.

The movie focuses more on his return to the States, where he runs Stark Industries. He’s a wealthy playboy, and crime fighter.. as most superhero’s usually are. Curiously, it appears Holloywood is changing the angle a tad on his transformation to Iron Man. “When Tony Stark is forced to create a life support suit to keep him alive after an accident he decides to use the technology in his suit to fight crime.” I suspect the target audience doesn’t really have any memory, or inclination, to know the Vietnam War involvement with Iron Man… so they apparently are leaving this out entirely.

Starring : Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, and Terrence Howard. Samuel L. Jackson , Hilary Swank.

Although I cannot stant Robert Downey Jr, the show has more than enough talent to overlook this one aspect. I can’t wait.

Thankfully you don’t have to do a review on a movie named “Goatse”, that wouldn’t be a pleasant term to google. Funny, but still.. not pleasant.

Got something to say?
