Mark Wahlberg is Max Payne

Not sure if this is good news, or bad news, since Max Payne was one of my favorite pc games of all time, and I’ll probably be disappointed. Mark Wahlberg will star as Max Payne in a live-action adaptation of the video game to be directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix, and The Omen).

On a personal mission to avenge the deaths of his wife and child, a troubled DEA cop is framed for murder and finds himself being hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.

Woopeedoo, Mark Wahlberg is playing a cop yet again. If he’s not a cop, he’s a marine… nothing too out of the way here.

Marky Mark is also starring in We Own The Night and will be in The Brazillian Job in 2009.
