X Men 2,X Men,The Fountain) returns as Logan/ Wolverine-A mutant with regenerative powers, three claws on each hand and a skeleton all laced with the rare metal known as adamantium. Logan struggles to find the secrets to his past.
After learning little information through the help of Charles Xavier (X2’s Patrick Stewart), Logan takes his search even further by learning the full truth of his origin, while also heading in a bold, new direction.
Editors Note : This may be the only time a spin-off will have big-screen success. Wolverine was the most popular X-Men character, and clearly the last movie in the series was set to exploit the Wolverine character for future shows.
Fans of the X-Men comic book will be disappointed Hollywood is banking its future around the Wolverine character, rather than a mix of lesser known X-Men instead.
2009 Release Date
This movie will be fantastic, as long as they don’t play out the storyline of his transformation too much. People want to see Wolverine doing battle, not going through a mid-life crisis for two hours.
Xmen, and X2 were getting irritating, watching Wolverine going through his struggles as the series went on. Who cares? You are almost invincible, and you have an indestructible body. I’m supposed to feel for the fact you were held captive, and had your memory wiped, to get these abilities?
Tell you what, come work in the retail sector for a week, then come crying to me about your issues with the Adamantium in your body. I love Wolverine, the character, but if I got to listen to him bitch and complain in his future movies, like his previous ones, I’m going to snap.
I like the wolverine character,as well, not surprised about the spin off, it should be good.
his struggles as you call them were supposed to help the viewers understand the character more.
Good points longjohn, I agree. I felt the xmen trilogy was going a bit too far into the aspect of his life, rather than some of the other interesting xmen characters.
I suppose this is why the producers did this, as they wanted us to be as informed as possible when the launch the Wolverine movie.
